After the OEM tires on our tow vehicle wore out after 36,500 miles, I installed Michelin Defender LTX M/S LT265/60 R20 Load E rated tires on the tow vehicle. These tires are highly rated in every category on TireRack, except Mud. I selected these tires for a quiet, smooth ride for driving cross country with the travel trailer in tow. Also, because of Colorado’s Traction Laws for winter driving, I wanted a mud/snow rated tire. The 6 year / 50,000 mile warranty help persuade the decision.
If you are interested in more of my thought process on choosing these tires, check out my Tread Life blog post.
