We had tried getting to State Forest State Park for several seasons, but for one reason or another we had to cancel. When we finally made the trip, we were not disappointed. State Forest State Park is Colorado mountain camping. Even the drive through Poudre Canyon Road getting to the park provided spectacular mountain views.
During our weekend trip we barely scratched the surface by enjoying Moose Fest at the visitor center, hiking around Ranger Lakes, and taking in a wonderful presentation on native bees by Ryan Bartlett. There are many other hiking and fishing adventures in this park. We cannot wait to go back.
